Synopsis: Don’t let my petite and innocent appearance fool you, because I’m one person you don’t want to cross. I’m Micah, the youngest member of Resurrection…If only they knew how young. My fake ID says I’m twenty-one.
And I will be…in four years.
What can I say? I blossomed early. Home sucked, so I left, determined to do something with my life.
Landing the gig as lead vocalist in the band was a dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make something of myself and nothing is going to ruin that for me.
Then He showed up.
He’s hot as hell and so into me. But he’s also twenty-five.
I don’t want to lie to him, but if the truth comes out I’ll lose everything, including him.
Review: Micah didn’t always have good luck. Her life growing up involved foster care because her mother couldn’t stay out of the bottle. It’s one of the reasons she lost her brother and then since she was already practically raising herself she decided to emancipate herself. She now has a fake ID and birthday certificate to show she is four years older.
Singing and music has always been something that puts her at ease. Something she can get lost in. She decides to try out for a band that is looking for a singer. Her luck turns around when she gets the job and goes on tour with them. What she didn’t anticipate was Saxon Waite, ex bad boy rock star.
Saxon used to have it all, until some bad stuff went down and he pretty much disappeared from the tabloids. He has his own past that haunts him, but once he sees Micah she’s all he can think about. He has a problem with her being four years younger than him. It’s a HUGE age gap to him.
If only he knew he needed to add four more years to that age gap. Micah and him slowly get involved. She knows that once he finds out she’s even younger than she has told him she’ll never be able to keep him. He’s already upset with the age difference as it is. He can never find out.
The chemistry between Micah and Saxon is electrifying. And I held my breath waiting for the inevitable. Definitely a must read!
About Missy Johnson
Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).
When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
