Synopsis: 1,135,789. That’s how many subscribers sixteen-year-old West Ryder has on his web vlog series. But he only has eyes for one of them.

As one of the internet’s most prestigious video bloggers, West talks about high school relationships under the name “Sam Green.” As far as he knows, no one from school, not even his best friend, Cat, has seen his videos. But the highlight of the whole thing is Harper Knight, who comments every day at exactly 2:02 in the afternoon. He doesn’t know anything about her aside from the occasional deep philosophical messaging on why pizza tastes so delicious, but as stupid as it sounds, he might be falling for her. So when they finally agree to meet in real life, West’s hope for romance seems more and more in reach. But that all changes as soon as he arrives at their meeting spot and sees Cat walking toward him, wearing the same “I ❤ Sam Green” T-shirt Harper promised she’d have on.

To his alarm, West realizes he is falling in love with the best friend who has always been a sister to him.

Review by Jennifer: I’m not sure I can put into words the epicness that this book contains. It contained such an amazing quirkiness to it and at the same time it held such a deep and serious nature within itself.

West Ryder and Cat Davenport are best friends. They have been since like forever! He wouldn’t trade her for anything in the world! Well, maybe some ice cream. No, no, not even for that. Though he secretly has a vlog that no one else really knows about in his immediate life and he plans to keep it that way. It is his outlet. It is also the place where he meets Harper Knight. Every day at 2:02pm she leaves a comment on his vlog. He goes by the name Sam Green on his vlog. He seriously thinks he’s in love with Harper.

After exchanging messages and creating a chat room where only they can talk. They’ve decided to meet. And West freaks out. He can’t believe he’s actually going to get to meet Harper Knight! She is the girl of his dreams! And then it seems… she’s not, because it turns out that Harper Knight doesn’t exist. Harper is actually his best friend, Cat. How did this happen?

And that’s when the meat of the story begins. Cat is in love with West and has been for a while. She just hasn’t known how to tell him. West doesn’t want to ruin the friendship they have by taking it that one step forward. He doesn’t want to lose Cat, but Cat doesn’t want to lose him either. And she plans on fighting for him to be “more than friends”… GAME ON!

I stayed up late to finish this book. There were some moments that were so touching that my eyes seriously got a little misty. If you love Young Adults books, then you seriously need to read this one. I highly recommend it!
