Synopsis: Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who’s had a bad year. She was smart and on track, but then her mom left, her dad is depressed, she’s graduating – barely – and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.

Then she saves the life of Caleb and instantly knows there’s something about him that’s intriguing. But things change when they touch, sparks ignite. Literally.
They imprint with each other and she sees their future life together flash before her eyes. She learns that not only is she his soul mate, and can feel his heartbeat in her chest, but there is a whole other world of people with gifts and abilities that she never knew existed. She herself is experiencing supernatural changes unlike anything she’s ever felt before and she needs the touch of his skin to survive.

Now, not only has her dad come out of his depression to be a father again, and a pain as well, but Caleb’s enemies know he’s imprinted and are after Maggie to stop them both from gaining their abilities and take her from him.

Can Caleb save her or will they be forced to live without each other after just finding one another?

Review by Wendy: Maggie has had a rough year and she has finally graduated. Time to move on with her life. Her dad is in a funk because her mom left and her boyfriend dumped her to pursue college football. When Kyle invites her to a party, she figures why not. On the way there, she saves a boy named Caleb from getting run over. When they touch, sparks fly and a life with Caleb flashes before her eyes. What is going on?!? Caleb explains that he is part of a long line of people with supernatural abilities and they have just imprinted. Not only has it been years since someone imprinted, no one has been as young as Maggie when they did. This causes the rival clan to panic and Maggie and Caleb are quickly in danger. They must find a way to be together, as they literally need the touch of the other to survive, despite the obstacles in their way. At first, I admit, I found this one to be a little too drippy sweet for me. I couldn’t get past the needing to be together at every moment part. As I read along, though, it fits perfectly in with Maggie and Caleb’s story. I love Maggie’s strength and how she rolls with the punches that life keeps throwing at her. I was totally engrossed in what would happen next and had 10% left on my Kindle. Guess, what? I found an excerpt of another book. Ack! I look forward to moving onto the next book in this series.
