Synopsis: I had the perfect life; an awesome job in advertising, a gorgeous high rise apartment, and a flirtation with the guy down the hall. Then it all came crashing down. Two months later I was a cocktail waitress living in a tiny one bedroom apartment. I had also developed a serious ‘men suck’ attitude.
That all changed the night I met the beautiful and enigmatic Conner Savage. But there was just one little problem…he said he was a vampire. Figures a man that hot would be batshit crazy. Or so I thought. It didn’t take me long to realize that Conner wasn’t a nut job and that I was addicted to him.
With every moment we spent together he drew me deeper into his world and the supernatural culture in which he lived.
Now I had a choice: the vampire I craved or a normal life. Couldn’t be easier, right?

Review: This isn’t your normal vampire romance novel, but I loved it! It sucked me in! (No pun intended. Okay maybe it was!). Donna used to work in advertising and made great money until circumstances got her fired. So now she works as a waitress at a bar. It’s not glamorous, but it pays the bills. Then one night she meets Connor Savage. He regularly frequents the bar she works at, but sits in a different section. Their meeting wasn’t normal either. Connor saved her from an uncertain death. Three men that she waited on that night had sat out in the parking lot so they could kidnap her.
Connor happens to get a taste of her blood that night and in that moment his whole world changes. She’s not like any other human he’s ever met. From that moment he knows he has to have her. She seems to think she can deny the fact that he’s a vampire though. Connor isn’t sure if she can process this information and make herself believe that it’s true. And everything that Donna thought she knew about vampires is thrown out the window. Connor can walk out in the daylight, though his eyes are sensitive to the sun. And there seem to be a plethora of other vampire myths that aren’t true. It was a refreshing look on vampires and how they’ve blended into society and remained unnoticed for so long.
Donna doesn’t know what to think of Connor. He’s crazy! He think’s he is a vampire, yet he is so gentlemanly to her. He seems to be very old fashioned and when he gets angry his Scottish accent gets thicker and boy is that a turn on! She figures she’ll give him one date since he seems so intent on it and then she’ll cut her losses. She does’t need to be with someone that is delusional about themselves, but the more time she spends with him the more she realizes that he may very well be telling the truth and that scares her. And then there is the rest of his kind. One that has her eyes set on Connor and Donna seems to be in the way!
Can she gets through this and still stay with Connor? This was a very suspenseful book! I couldn’t put it down. I honestly cannot wait for the second book to come out! If you love paranormal romance, then this book is for you! I give this book 5 stars!
