Synopsis: For the last four years, good girl Lane has regretted breaking up with Noel Falcon. She thought she was sensible when she told him his dreams of being a rock star would get him nowhere, but now that he’s a rock god and her career is stagnant, she realizes just how wrong she was. When Noel hires the marketing company where Lane is an intern, she’s forced to see him again. If she wants to land her dream job as executive within the company, she has to win him over and secure his account. Too bad Noel is still pissed at her for breaking his heart.

When Lane’s company flies her to a Black Falcon concert to gain Noel’s attention, emotions run high the moment she sees him and realizes she’s far from over him. But Noel’s countless trysts with groupies and his cocky attitude make Lane believe he isn’t the same guy she once loved—now he seems to only want her body. Then after Lane discloses she needs him to procure a job, Noel proves he’s a changed man by forcing her to go on the road with him in order to get it.

After Lane reluctantly takes Noel up on his offer, she becomes willing to do whatever it takes to keep him satisfied, even if it means succumbing to his seductive ways. Lane soon finds deception is a dangerous game and she’s not the only one playing.

Jen’s Review: I absolutely loved this book! I could not put it down! Lanie is just an intern at a marketing firm and she’s trying to make it in the world and land her dream job. When all of a sudden a doozy of a project is landed in her lap. Fly down to do a children’s literacy charity for Black Falcon. Only problem is Lanie has history with the lead singer, Noel. And they didn’t exactly end on good terms. She broke his heart!

She flies down to watch their concert and then talk to Noel afterwards only to find out she just can’t do it. It drudges up all kinds of feelings. Feelings she’s tried not to think about for the past four years. Somehow Noel tells her boss that she HAS to be the one to do the job. And he talks her boss into making her go on the road with him for two weeks. Can she handle being on a cramped bus for two weeks with him? Next problem? Sleeping arrangements. Noel is pretty confident that the only comfortable spot is in his bed. Can Lanie keep this strictly professional and keep this dream job of hers that Noel has gotten for her? She doesn’t want this to get messy, but apparently Noel does. But Noel has some secrets he’s not telling Lanie. Secrets that could ruin everything. This book runs high with emotions! I gripped my kindle and stayed up late reading this book! I love how Michelle Valentine writes a story that pulls you in and keeps you wanting more! I definitely held my breath a few times! Go grab this book and read it now! I give it 5 shining stars!!

Wendy’s Review: I loved this book! When I was younger I would dream of being a rock star or even better, dating and/or marrying one. When I was reading “Rock the Heart,” I felt like I was caught up in one of my old daydreams. Lanie’s high school boyfriend, Noel, the one she broke up with because she thought he was going nowhere, is now the front man of the hottest group around. Lanie is the one that seems to be stuck. Once Noel hires the marketing firm that Lanie works for to market his charity, things change drastically for her. At Noel’s insistence, Lanie is to head up the campaign and to travel on the tour bus with him in the meantime. Lanie’s boss makes it clear to her that if she fails, so will her career. What choice does she have, but to give it a go? As soon as she steps on the bus, it’s obvious that things are going to be very complicated. Old feelings are stirred up between the two, tensions are high between the band members, there are groupies everywhere. Is there still hope for Lanie and Noel? Is he just a rock star sex god out for revenge? Don’t wait…go get your copy and find out! 5 stars!
